Thailand Floods October 2011

http://www.thailawforum.com/: The footage for this video was shot in Pathum Thani Province, 55 km outside of Bangkok. Our firm decided to travel to the area to ascertain the extent of the floodwater damage, and to gain some insights on the types of problems the city of Bangkok could expect. The locals we spoke with reported that water levels had reached waist-high and chest-high depths. Many families had been forced to relocate from their homes, which were, to quote one interviewee, “under water”; another man reported extreme concern about losing income after the closure of his workplace.
Perhaps the most concerning element of the interviews was the number of people who reported that they had received absolutely no local or governmental assistance — no food, no water, no help transporting possessions to dry land. One man told us “no one is helping us”.
